MARION
WATSON
-
Is a seasoned surfing
champion and the mother of a young genius. She also loves touring in her
VW campervan.

CAMPERFEST CROWNING
The A39 road wound like a grey ribbon through the emerald heart of Cornwall. With the ghosts of Bude’s drama firmly in the rearview mirror and
Paul and
Sheelagh safely on the path to redemption, the Watson family cruised past Boscastle and the jagged cliffs of Tintagel.
"Do you remember our trip to Land’s End, honey?" Tim asked, his hands relaxed on the steering wheel of the T2.
Marion laughed, the sound bright against the hum of the engine. "Just thinking the same thing, darling! How were we to know that 'unauthorized entry' meant a military base? We nearly became a diplomatic incident before lunch."
"It's Porth Beach we’re looking for," Tim mused as the signs for Newquay began to appear. The air changed, growing thicker with the scent of salt and the unmistakable, oily perfume of vintage air-cooled engines. They weren't just heading to a beach; they were heading to the holy grail of Volkswagen culture: CamperFest.
The St. Mawgan Scrutineers
The festival was staged on a redundant strip of RAF St. Mawgan, right next to Cornwall Airport. As they pulled into the vast parking area, the sight was breathtaking—hundreds of iconic Type 1 "Split-screens" and Type 2 "Bay-windows" lined up like colorful lozenges.
"Anthony," Tim whispered to the floorboards.
The Dinobot’s voice crackled softly in his ear. "Yes, General?"
"You'll have to make yourself scarce." Tim, glanced in the mirror. "And keep yourself out of trouble, Jimmy. No transforming you AI chum into a fighter jet just because we’re near an airport." Tim joked.
"Affirmative," Anthony chirped, his bioluminescent sensors dimming as he tucked himself into a hidden compartment behind the spare tire.
They trundled over to the inspection area. It was a scene straight out of The World’s Fastest
Indian. Serious men in oily overalls and clipboards paced around the vans. One lead Marshall, a man with a mustache that looked like it required its own zip code, stepped forward.
"Are you Mr. Watson? And is this 'Miss
Ocean'?"
"That I am, and that she is," Tim replied with a grin.
The officials descended. They checked the suspension, the steering rack, and finally, the engine. "Hmm. Standard block? 1,600cc?"
"To the letter," Tim said. He didn't mention that Anthony had "blue-printed" the pistons and ports, to increase breathing efficiency, but technically, the block was as standard as they come.
"Nice wheels, Mr. Watson. And that's a... sturdy towbar. Very well. You’re cleared for the Slalom and the Fast Lap."
THE
61.5 SECOND
SPRINT
The competition was fierce. These weren't just vans; they were custom masterpieces with paint jobs so deep you could swim in them. The fastest lap currently sat at a blistering 1 minute and 4 seconds.
"Miss Ocean, take your position!" the Tannoy barked.
Tim completed the dexterity tests—the precision parking, the emergency braking, and the reverse-flick—with the coolness of a Bond getaway driver, or Jason Statham, in the Transporter films. Then, he lined up on the grid for the fast lap.
The red light turned green.
The surfing bus didn't just move; it launched. The crowd gasped as the T2 tore down the straight, its wider track and alloy wheels gripping the tarmac like a cat on carpet. At the halfway point, they were neck-and-neck with the record.
"Now, Tim!" Marion cheered.
Tim entered the chicane—a brutal left-right flick over uneven concrete joins. While the other vans wallowed and leaned, Miss Ocean stayed flat, carving through the turns with an absurd seriousness. Tim gained two seconds in the corners alone. He hit the final straight, the engine singing a perfect, high-pitched note.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" the announcer screamed. "The fastest lap goes to Miss Ocean at 61.5 seconds!"
As Tim cruised back, the other competitors didn't scowl; they sounded their horns in a rhythmic, honking salute.
THE GLOW OF VICTORY
As the sun began to set over the airfield, the judges gathered around the VW.
"It’s not just the speed," the lead Marshall whispered, squinting at the undercarriage. "Look at that..."
Hidden from direct sight, Anthony had decided to add a little "flair." A subtle, bioluminescent blue glow emanated from the chassis, making the van look like it was floating on a cloud of neon. It was a touch of Eerie Tech-Magic that left the judges spellbound.
Tim was called to the stand to a thunderous ovation. He was presented with a gold-plated winner’s cup for the handling prize and a certificate for the fastest lap record.
"Outstanding, partner!" one of the rival drivers laughed, shaking Tim’s hand. "Amazing wagon. What have you got in there, rocket fuel?"
"Just a very well-tuned heart," Tim winked, glancing back at Jimmy, who was busy patting the side of the van where a certain Dinobot was hiding.
The Watsons sat by their cherished VW, the
gold
cup glinting in the twilight. They had conquered the waves of Bude's West coast, and now, they were the kings of the Newquay tarmac.
CHARLEY TEMPLE
Charley Temple emerged from the sea of colorful vans, not with a microphone and a camera crew this time, but with a pair of sunglasses and a look of genuine disbelief. She hadn't come to report; she had come because curiosity was part of her DNA.
"Marion, I had no idea these wagons could be that fast!" Charley laughed, running a hand over the T2’s gleaming flank. "I’d love one myself, but they’re like high-maintenance celebrities—pricey and impossible to keep happy."
"That’s where Tim comes in," Marion replied, leaning against the doorframe. "He’s the 'Van-Whisperer' of the family."
Charley’s eyes narrowed slightly, that sharp investigative instinct flickering. "And where does Jimmy’s...
AI robot fit into all this? I’ve been thinking about that video of Paul and Sheelagh. That was some high-level surveillance. And your surfboard, Marion? It didn't just glide; it looked like it was defying physics."
Marion’s gaze drifted to the back of the van. She suspected Anthony was the secret ingredient in the family’s recent run of luck—from the super-tuned board to the digital "exorcism" in Widemouth Bay. "I didn't see him out there today," Marion said carefully.
"Neither did anyone else," Charley noted, looking around the empty airfield. "It’s like he’s a ghost in the machine."
Marion and Tim exchanged a knowing wink—a silent agreement that some family secrets were better left under the hood. Jimmy, feeling the heat of the conversation, managed to look perfectly blank, his face a mask of childhood innocence before he broke into a sweet, dimpled smile.

OUTLINE:
MISS OCEAN AND THE SUMMER OF SECRETS
- A SURFERS TALE
New Waves. Old Rivals. A Hidden Hero.
The Watsons are back on the road! After the misty mysteries of Loch
Ness, the family heads southwest to the sun-drenched Atlantic coast of
Cornwall. Their mission? A summer of surf, sand, and the roar of the ocean.
Marion Watson was once a legend of the waves, but she hasn t competed in years. When a "just for fun" surf session at Widemouth Bay goes viral, the "Miss Ocean" of old is thrust back into the limelight. But the world of professional
surfing has changed. It s faster, fiercer, and as the Watsons are about to find out far more dangerous.
The Rising Tide of Trouble: Paul and Sheelagh, the reigning power couple of the circuit, aren t about to let a "washed-up legend" steal their glory. As they plot a campaign of sabotage and blackmail to secure their victory, they think they ve covered every angle.
The Secret Weapon: They haven t counted on Anthony. Perched invisibly on the roof of the Watsons custom VW camper, the Magic Dinobot sees everything. Joining forces with Jimmy s tech-savviness and
Tim s MI6 training, Anthony leads a covert counter-espionage mission that turns the Cornish coast into a high-stakes playground of "ghostly" interventions and digital justice.
From the rugged cliffs of Bude to the ultimate "Camperfest" finale at
Newquay, follow the Watsons as they defend their honor, protect a legend, and prove that while waves may break, a family s bond and a Magic Dinobot s loyalty is unbreakable.
Grab your board. The summer of a lifetime is just one wave away.
SEQUEL NOVEL TREATMENT - MISS OCEAN AND THE SUMMER OF SECRETS (A Watson Family Adventure)
OPENING: RETURN TO THE SEA - Setting the Tone. The novel opens with the Watson family preparing Miss Ocean, their beloved VW Bay Window T2 Volkswagen camper van, for a summer road trip. The Highlands adventure is behind them, but the sense of wonder lingers — especially with Anthony, the Magic Dinobot, now part of the family’s quiet routine.
Marion, once a champion surfer on the Atlantic coast, has been invited to judge the summer surf heats at: Widemouth Bay, Bude, and St Austell. She’s excited but modest — she hasn’t competed officially since Jimmy was born.
Family Dynamics - Tim, part‑time Army and MI6 general, is delighted for a break. Jimmy, now in his teens, is eager for adventure. As before, Anthony rides invisibly on the roof rack, scanning the world with quiet curiosity.
THE ROAD SOUTHWEST - The Journey. The Watsons travel through Devon and Cornwall, stopping at: Clifftop cafés, Secret coves, Surf shops, and Campsites where Miss Ocean draws admiring crowds. Due to her custom wheel arches, wide alloys and a special towbar. Anthony, in camouflage mode, occasionally spooks seagulls or scans the horizon for “anomalies,” much to Jimmy’s amusement.
Foreshadowing Trouble: At a surf meet‑and‑greet, Marion is recognised by older surfers — a legend returning to the waves.
This catches the attention of: Paul Lambert — ambitious, arrogant, technically skilled, and Sheelagh Brown — sharp, competitive, fiercely protective of their shared dream. They are the favourites to win the summer circuit.
Marion’s presence unsettles them.
THE FIRST COMPETITION — WIDEMOUTH BAY - Marion’s Unintentional Triumph. During a break in judging, Marion borrows a board “just for fun.” She catches a wave — and it’s spectacular. The crowd erupts. Phones record. Social media buzzes.
Paul and Sheelagh watch, horrified. Their confidence cracks.
The Invitation - The Competition Board, impressed, invites Marion to compete for an honorary cup — not part of the official rankings, but a prestigious nod. She accepts, reluctantly but graciously. Paul and Sheelagh exchange dark glances.
THE PLOT AGAINST MARION - Anthony Overhears. Late at night, Anthony — perched invisibly on Miss Ocean — overhears Paul and Sheelagh: plotting to sabotage Marion’s surfboard, planning to blackmail two judges, and discussing how “no one will beat us this year, not even some washed‑up legend.” Anthony records everything.
Jimmy and Tim Investigate - Anthony alerts Jimmy. Jimmy wakes Tim. Together, the three form a covert team: Jimmy gathers evidence, while Tim uses his MI6 training to follow leads. Anthony provides surveillance, disguises, and “ghostly” interventions, frightening Sheelagh Brown. As he walks invisibly, moving furniture about. She is freaked out. Paul does not believe her. This becomes a fun, family‑friendly espionage subplot.
THE SABOTAGE ATTEMPT - The Rigged Board. Paul and Sheelagh tamper with Marion’s board: loosening fins, adding micro‑abrasions, and weakening the leash. Anthony catches them in the act — appearing as a shimmering, ghost‑like figure. They flee in terror. Jimmy and Tim fix the board before Marion ever sees it.
THE COMPETITION — BUDE - Marion’s Performance. Marion surfs beautifully — not to win, but to honour the sport she loves. Paul and Sheelagh surf well too, but their nerves show.
The Blackmail Unravels. Anthony projects the recorded conversation to the judges’ tent. The judges are stunned. The Competition Board convenes an emergency meeting. Paul and Sheelagh are disqualified.
THE CONFRONTATION - Marion’s Heartfelt Speech. Marion confronts the pair — not with anger, but with disappointment.
“You didn’t need to cheat. You’re talented. Train harder. Improve your wave strategy. Earn your victories — don’t steal them.”
Paul and Sheelagh break down. They apologise publicly — to Marion, to the judges, to the crowd. "What were we thinking. Miss Ocean here, is our new role model. Marion is still super fit for her age. Due to her good diet and work ethic.
Redemption: Marion persuades the Board to reinstate them for future competitions, provided they: apologise, attend ethics training, and accept a probationary period. The crowd applauds her grace.
THE FINALE — CAMPERFEST IN BUDE. Miss Ocean Takes the Stage. Tim enters the 'Miss Ocean' VW in the Camperfest competition: polished chrome, custom surf rack, upgraded engine, also giving a demonstration of improved handling from a wider tracks. The van is named after Marion's surfing competition name. The van is though, the epitome of all that is surfing and camping.
Anthony’s invisible “touches” (subtle lighting, perfect tuning) add to the overall betterment of the design. They win Best Modified Vehicle. Marion is touched, Tim also, his hard work has paid off.
Jimmy beams. Marion laughs. Tim holds the trophy like a proud father.
EPILOGUE — THE ROAD HOME - A Sussex Sunset. The Watsons drive back to Herstmonceux, trophy on the dashboard, surfboards rattling softly in the wind. Anthony hums quietly, replaying the sound of waves. Jimmy leans out the window, hair whipping in the wind. “Where to next Mum?” Says Jimmy. Marion and Tim exchange a smile. “Wherever the road takes us.” Replies Tim.
