Marie Andrews is a former surfer, and a member (councillor) of Cornwall Council, who lives conveniently in St. Austell. Making it easier to get to the beaches with the best Atlantic swells. She is blackmailed by Paul Lambert, over an extra marital affair they never had, some years before, but she thinks could have happened, when she was a little the worse for wear at a fancy dress party.

 

She is on the judging panel with Arthur King, Silas Stone, Huw DeKok and Marie Andrews. She did not tell her colleagues about the blackmail attempt, until Anthony AI blows the whistle.
